Which Android TV devices are supported

The app is listed on Google Play worldwide. One thing worth knowing up front: the listing is restricted to Android TV devices, so it will not appear if you search Google Play on a phone or tablet. That is deliberate, not a fault with your device.
Install it from the TV's own Play Store
Open the Google Play Store from your Android TV home screen and search for “Easy Photo Player” — the developer is HD SofT. Choose Install, wait a few seconds, then choose Open, or find the app later in your TV's apps row. There is no install from a web link, a QR code or your phone, and no sideloading is needed. If the search comes up empty, check that the device runs Android TV 7.0 or newer; older versions are not offered the app.
Link your Google Photos
Launch the app and a six-character code appears on the TV. On your phone or computer, go to easyphotoplayer.com/link, sign in with Google, and type the code. Then pick the photos and videos you want on screen and the slideshow starts on the TV right away. You never type your Google password on the TV itself — which matters, because TV keyboards are slow and your account stays behind Google's own sign-in on a device you already trust.
Settings worth changing
From the Settings screen you can set how long each photo stays on screen — 3, 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds — and choose the playback order. Typing a photo's number on the remote jumps straight to it, which helps in a large library, and videos play with their total running time shown. The free plan shows 10 views per day; Basic (€4.99/month) or Pro (€9.99/month) removes the limit.

Why does the photo selection need renewing every seven days?
That is a limit in the Google Photos Picker API, not in Easy Photo Player: the access it grants to a chosen set of photos expires after seven days. Renewing takes a few seconds in the web app, and between renewals the server refreshes the session automatically so the slideshow keeps running.
