How to Show Google Photos on Android TV
Easy Photo Player is available on the Google Play Store for Android TV. Install it on Sony, Hisense, TCL, Nvidia Shield, or any Android TV box and turn it into a Google Photos digital frame.
What you need
- An Android TV device (TV, Nvidia Shield, set-top box)
- An internet connection on the device
- A Google account with photos in Google Photos
- The TV or Android TV remote
Step-by-step
Open the Google Play Store on your TV
From the Android TV home screen, open the Google Play Store. Search for "Easy Photo Player".
Install the app
Select Easy Photo Player and choose Install. The Play Store handles the download.
Open the app and note the code
Launch Easy Photo Player from the apps row. A six-character linking code appears on screen.
Sign in on the web
On your phone or computer, go to easyphotoplayer.com/link, sign in with Google, and enter the code.
Select your photos
Pick the photos and videos to display. They start playing on your TV right away.
Compatible TVs
Easy Photo Player works on most Android TV devices:
- Android TV 7.0 (Nougat) and newer
- Sony Bravia, Hisense, TCL, Philips, and other Android TV brands
- Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, Mi Box, Xiaomi TV Stick
- Available globally on the Google Play Store
Troubleshooting
App not found in Play Store: Make sure your device is running Android TV 7.0 or newer. On phone-based Android, the app is not available — use the web at easyphotoplayer.com instead.
Linking code not appearing: Restart the app. If problems persist, clear the app cache via Settings → Apps → Easy Photo Player → Clear cache.
Slideshow stops after a while: Free plan is limited to 10 views per day. Upgrade to Basic (€4.99/month) or Pro (€9.99/month) to remove the limit.
